Meet PPSC’s New President

PBGEN FERDINANDO G SEVILLA (RET.), MPSA

The new President of the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) is a graduate of Philippine Military Academy (PMA), belonging to PMA Maharlika Class of 1984. He is a recipient of the rarely achieved “PMA Distinguished Cadet Award” for graduating Superintendent’s List or “Star Man”. As a Second Lieutenant, he was assigned as a Junior Officer and later as Commanding Officer of the Regional Special Action Company 1 (RSAC1), the most exposed Phil. Constabulary unit in counter-insurgency operations in the Ilocos and Cordillera Regions in the late 1980s. He is a recipient of various awards, most notable of which were two (2) AFP Bronze Cross Medals and five (5) PNP Medalya ng Kadakilaan. He underwent various training and education here and abroad, including a short course in 21st Century Leadership at Harvard University School of Government in Boston, USA, and Senior Executive Law Enforcement Training at FBI Academy in Virginia, USA on top of two (2) other short courses both in Continental USA. He is also a graduate of Strategic Business Economic Program from the University of Asia and the Pacific and the Development Management Course at the Asian Institute of Management. Prior to retirement, he held the position as Director of the Center for Police Strategy Management, in-charge in the implementation of the PNP Transformation Program.

The Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) welcomes its new President, PBGEN FERDINANDO G SEVILLA (Ret.), MPSA as he assumes his position during the Turnover Ceremony held at the PPSC Head Office, Katipunan Avenue, Old Balara, Quezon City on August 2, 2022. He officially takes over from the Officer-In-Charge, Dr. Romeo S. Magsalos, MPSA. Also present during the ceremony is the wife of the new President, Mrs. Jocelyn Sevilla.
