REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER  7

Regional Training Center (RTC)- 7 is located in Sitio Laray, Brgy. Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu. RTC 7 was established on January 1969 as Regional Training Police Academy of Central Visayas. In 1975 the academy was transferred to the defunct Integrated National Police, and in 1993 was placed under the supervision and control of the PPSC. RTC 7 caters to the training requirements of the members of the PNP of the Police Regional Office 7 in Central Visayas. Region 7 is composed of the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor.

LOGOGRAM

The RTC7 logo sprung from the analytical minds and concerted efforts of both uniformed and civilian employees of this institute way back in 1997.

  • The RTC7 logo has an outline of a badge with a three angled edges at the top that looks like a crown. This portion including the entire outline of the badge is colored yellow. On its upper center is the PNP logo, on its left are the historical arms or the weapons used by our Filipino ancestors, while on the right is a ship representing the trade and industry of Cebu.
  • Separated by a line, the background of the upper mid portion of the logo is white with four yellow starts in a line representing the four (4) provinces of the region namely: Bohol, Negros Oriental, Siquijor and Cebu. Just underneath are nine (9) yellow circles representing the nine (9) cities of Region 7 during this time, namely: Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-lapu City, Danao City, Talisay City, Dumaguete City, Bais City, Guihulngan City and TagbilaranCity.
  • The lower mid portion of the logo as divided into two. The left portion is shaded blue while the right portion colored red. From afar, this logo has the semblance of our Philippine flag. Blue symbolizes loyalty and red for bravery.
  • Embedded in the center is green triangle with a white outline. The triangle symbolizes commitment; accountability and excellence while the color green symbolizing hope and development. Inside the triangle is an open book with "1997" written on it which is the year when the name Regional Training Center 7 was finally given to this institute after undergoing administrative and organizational upheaval. Atop the book is the torch, both of which symbolize quality education. Just underneath this triangle is a yellow sash with the PPSC slogan printed on it: "DuyanngDiwa".
  • Partially enclosing this badge-like logo are green leaves on sides representing knowledge and a seven-loop silver chain symbolizing Region 7 and the number of courses this training institute offered during this time: PSOSEC, PSOAC, PSOBC, PSOCC, PSSLC, PSJLC & PSBRC.
  • Finally, encircling these symbols is Regional Training Center 7 starting from the mid left curing to the right while the lower curve below is the address of the center is printed.

Since its creation to date, this logo has been the symbol of this center's commitment towards the effective implementation of its mandate and in the attainment of organizational goals for the development of the PNP organization and the for the country as well.
