REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER 4

 
        Regional Training Center (RTC) – 4 is located at Camp Guillermo Nakar, in Lucena City, Quezon province. The center became operational in 1976 under the then Integrated National Police Training and Education which assumed the status of a Special Staff in HPC/INP. On November 18, 1993, it was transfered to PPSC tasked to cater to the training needs of the PNP personnel of the Southern Tagalog Region. The region is composed of the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Marinduque, Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Quezon, Rizal and Romblon.


LOGOGRAM

The Regional Training Center 4 Logo was a product of several wise opinions of former commandants, designed by a group of police officers with their artistic hands. It represents the edifice of an educational institution for training human resource for PC/INP, Fire and Jail Bureau personnel in 1975 under the name Regional Training Center 4.

Upon the enactment of RA 6975 which created the Philippine Public Safety College, the Regional Training Center 4 established its new RTC4 logo that symbolizes training excellence for all PNP non-commissioned officers of the ten (10) provinces in CALABARZON and MIMAROPA. This RTC4 emblem made the personnel and students strived for strong desire to prepare themselves through tough training to serve the public with highest honor and pride.

  • The CIRCULAR FIGURE is suggestive of unity and cooperation among the RTC4 staff and students.
  • The PHILIPPINE FLAG symbolizes the respect and homage that the RTC4 staff and students give to our country, the Philippines.
  • The MOUNTAIN symbolizes the strategic location of RTC4 at the foot of the historic mountain of Mt. Banahaw situated in Quezon Province.
  • The TEN LEAVES OF LAUREL represent the ten (10) provinces of CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and MIMAROPA (Oriental Mondoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) that comprise Region IV.
  • The TORCH and OPEN BOOK symbolize the Knowledge and Education that RTC4 caters to the Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) of Region 4.

The PNP SEAL represents the organization of the Philippine National Police to which RTC4 is directly extending its services as a training ground for recruits and PNCOs.
